well, the month, and the year, is almost over. another time for reflection, planning, and resolutions. =) (not that they ever work for me anyway =S) before that though, let me just say that,
THIS HAS BEEN SUCH A BUSY MONTH.
To think, holidays were meant to be a time of relaxation. Instead, i have a packed timetable. Honestly teachers, you shouldn't give us so much homework. There are people who have things to do during the holidays. First of all was ARISE! that took place in the beginning of the month. So many dance practises to try and perfect the movements for the Lord. Seriously though, with 228 salvations in total, God deserves all the glory. That was followed straight after by church camp. I did go away learning something, but the fact that i was there for the second half didn't really feel very satisfying.
The Quahes arrived on the 21st, so before that, i did as much homework as possible. managed to catch up with Fio by studying with her at the library =) Good times, man. We should do it more often k Fio? Unfortunately, i missed out on studying with Eli Chew. In fact, i didn't get a chance to meet up with the family, due to clashes of timetable. Pshucks. I did get to dinner with Deb, Cass and Crys though. =) Good to see that they are still somewhat the same. Of course, there were certain changes. i suppose we've all grown up a little bit this past year. Still, to have it feel like we were in 4o4 again was a good feeling. To know that no matter what happens, we can still talk and have fun like old times.
I'm also having a great time with Ariel here! She can finally stay long enough for her to properly get to know the poiemians. hopefully, next year, i'll be able to go to Thailand after As! I'll be praying about it.
Then there's Christmas, i was Mary without a Joseph in the skit =) So rehearsals throughout the month, but they were pretty fun times. Jana and Caleb were the cutest of the lot, since they played as sheep! Haha. Absolutely adorable, though they were quite a headache backstage =S Still, who wouldn't love them? They were real perfect for sheep. Fit the role quite naturally actually, i think it's because they are naturally... round. Heh.
Straight after Christmas was clergy family retreat. I'll admit, i was apprehensive about it, but i did learn something about the Lord reigning in our families, which was the theme. We were at the Palm Resot in JB for that. It's funny how we humans tend to look at the most obvious evidence to prove that God reigns in our lives, through providence - financially, emotionally, mentally, physically etc. Yet we forget the fact that, for us families that can still get along generally well despite small squabbles and fight is also a good proof. I guess it's because we're too used to knowing that, despite all the quarrels, the relationship between the family is going to be alright. Hence we dont notice that God's hand on the family is the reason our family is still together. But the most important way to know that God is reigning in our lives is our relationship with Him, to keep that relationship strong despite the good
and bad times.To surrender all control and let God. that's what i learnt during the retreat.
another thing i learnt about myself is that i managed to pretty much stay real to myself. it might sound weird, but i had actually promised myself that i will try to stay as the real me in no matter what situation, with whatever group of friends. And at the very least, not lie to myself or God. I learnt this from reading about Rachel in the Columbia High killing. Some of you would have already read that. So when i took this personality test during the retreat, and found out that my "adapted" self and "natural" self are similar, i was quite happy. It may be no big deal for you people out there, but it's a big deal to me. I sometimes thought I was losing my identity (whoo~ lit! haha) because i feared that i'd become my "mask", that's why when i read the book about Rachel (this was quite long ago) i promised myself that. Just to maintain my sanity =)
Anyway, after the retreat was the overnight camp! Which was just last night/ this morning. Fun fun fun! The camp committee did a good job with this one. Although it was something short and sweet, it was different from the previous camps. And the group was great! =D Though that leaves me with a headache right now, and i'm still super tired. I think there's gonna be another sleepover at church after countdown service on New Year's eve. Oh Lord, please let me survive the coming days. Cleaning up the third floor of the counselling centre tomorrow too! Whoo boy~ I really need to find time to finish up one more hist essay and econs tutorial.
OH dear, i think if i continue with relfection for next year, the post will become extra long. Haha. Anyway, my head hurts too much to think anymore. I best be sleeping now, shall do reflection soon! G'night!

Hello hello to all you little people out there still reading my blog =)) Though i highly doubt it anymore because of slooowww updates. Hah. Anyway, just got back from church camp at Malacca yesterday, so yes,
I'M NOT DEAD TO THE WORLD OK.Church camp was pretty ok, though i do feel sorry for the number of people who suffered from food poisoning and etc. Ben managed to get a swellin on his finger by POKING JOSEPH'S TUMMY. What's up with that man. Hahah. Joseph's stomach is real power is all i can say. He's Mr Iron Man!
Besides that, I must say that God made good use of this church camp to speak about the relationship between the Chinese and English Congregation. There was a sort of reconciliation that took place. It's really awesome how God works to unite a church further. Though i suspect it'll need a lot of work before both congre can really unite as one! But I'm sure God will help make it work =)
Apart from that, before camp was ARISE! and it was a great success i must say. 228 salvations! Plus, Wangster(Abi) wrote her first song! Praise the Lord! Staying at the salvation army was fun although it was only for a few days. Random call to En ended up with a chat btw Abi, En, Char and I late into the night one. hoho! XD Made a few new friends too, that will hopefully last for a long time, because the dancers are bound to get together for events in the future.
Oh well, it's back to furni hunting for the family! I'm so excited. Rach and I saw a real cool bed today! Unfortunately, there's a high likelihood it's too big for our room. =( Shucks. Praying real hard that it's gonna be possible! Cause we really really like the bed man! It's so cool the stuff that furni designers can come up with today. Ben also saw something he liked, but it's definitely too big for his room. Too bad, but i'm sure we can find something better!
Studying tomorrow, well homeworking is more like it, at trl! En's going to join me. Gonna be lots of fun! See y'all arnd!
